Consumer Bill Pay Upgrade to v4.1.1 - on 2/09/06, and will begin at 5 am EST. Upgrade should not take longer than four hours. The main enhancements to be included in the upgrade:

  • "Edit Pending Payment" option will be added back. CheckFree had originally decided to remove the "Edit Pending Pmt" option because of the significantly high number of claims that were resulting from users incorrectly editing their pending pmts; also because it is so easy to schedule a new pmt in v4.x - literally only a couple of clicks. However, because of customer feedback, CheckFree will be re-adding this option.
  • Customer service phone number will be added to every page within the User Interface.
  • Bill History tab will be added to the top of the page.
  • Earliest possible payment date will auto-populate as soon as the user enters payment amount.
  • "File a Bill" link will be added to the window within the eBill icon. This is the feature that allows the user to "file a bill" that has already been paid by some other method so the Payment Reminder will disappear.

Subject: CheckFree Comments on FFIEC Guidance on Multi-Factor Authentication On October 12, 2005 the FFIEC (Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council) presented new guidance on "Authentication in an Internet Banking Environment" (FIL-103-2005). In the document available by clicking here, CheckFree affirms the new FFIEC requirements and describes how CheckFree is working to fulfill them for our direct consumer bases.
